Today’s high producon card which works upto 150 kgs/hour and beyond, needs cardclothing with superlave parameters. While
every tooth should be perfect as per its specificaon parameters, another important factor is an excellent surface finish of the wire.
Addionally, there is a need of a refined microstructure to provide toughness to high wear‐ resistance of the wire .
Increased producon rate needs higher interacve carding wire points. A superlave surface finish of the wire would result in low
fricon of the fibres which have to work at high speed and producon rate. This will help to reduce fibre rupture as well as excessive
heat generated in the card. Generaon of stac charges in the card will also be reduced while processing synthec fibres, which in
turn will help in improving working performance of the card.
